First Coining Press
POSTCARD TITLE: First Coining Press
POSTMARK: Unused
PUBLISHER: Numismatic Card Company, Lansing, Michigan
TYPE/BACK: Linen, Divided Back
COMMENTS: Our nations first coinage was produced on a press such as this. The heavy end-weighted balanced lever drove the screw with sufficient force so that by the momentum of the weighted ends this quick-threaded screw had the power to impress the blank end thus coin each piece.
The corners of the card are just slightly rounded. Nice etching. Check the image for more details.
