COMMENTS:    The section of Lombard Street between Hyde and Leavenworth Streets, is often called "The World's Crookedest Street."  On account of its steep grade, the street serpentines from curb to curb as it drops down the hill.  At each side there are beds of flowering plants and shrubs which are in bloom for most of the year.  This section of Lombard Street is a one-way street eastbound.
