Married Pat Ryan on June 21, 1940 at Riverside, Calif. and they have 2 daughters, Patricia (Tricia) and Julie. Served in U.S. Navy in World War II. Elected to Congress in 1946 and to the U.S. Senate in 1950. Elected Vice President of the United States of America in 1952 and 1956 along with President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
