Rachel Donelson Jackson [Postcard]
POSTCARD TITLE: Rachel Donelson Jackson
POSTMARK: Unused
PUBLISHER: Wiles Photographers
TYPE/BACK: Linen, Divided Back
COMMENTS: Miniature of Rachel Donelson Jackson, done by Anna C. Peale in Washington, D. C. in 1815. After the death of his "beloved Rachel" General Jackson wore this miniature in his bosom every day and, at night, placed it beside his Bible on a little table at his bedside.
The corners of the card are just slightly rounded. Nice color. Check the image for more details.
