On the spoon there is an engraving of the U.S.S. Maine.  Above the picture it says:  U.S. Battleship Maine.  Below the picture is says: Blown Up In Havana Harbor, Feb. 15, 1898.  On the handle is an engraved of the Ship's Captain Sigsbee, with his name etched below the bust.

On the back of the handle is says "Crown Silver Plate Co."
