COMMENTS:  Vacation center of southwestern Colorado.  Southern terminus of the last regularly scheduled narrow guage railroad to Silverton.  Gateway to Mesa Verde National Park and the Million Dollar Highway.  The Nearby San Juan, Needle, and La Plata Mountains are an outdoorsman's paradise.  Fort Lewis College is on the mesa to the right.
